Pentland Primary Nursery News

The children and staff at the nursery class have had a very busy Summer term. We would like to share some of our fun times with you.

On the 4^thMay we had a sponsored 'wheelie day' and brought in scooters and bikes to wheel around the playground. The parents and carers had teas and coffees. The money made went towards our nursery outing.
	On the 16^th May we had a day trip to East Links Family Farm. It was great fun. We fed the animals and had tractor and train rides. Thank you to all the parents who came to help. We followed this up with a 'critical challenge'. The children designed a wall display to show what we did at the farm.
We had 'Sports Day' on 1^st June and played lots of games. We have been learning about 'keeping healthy'.
	We have also been growing sunflower seeds and learning about caring for our environment. One of our favourite stories is 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' by Eric Carle. The children enjoyed making a collage for a display to show the life cycle of a butterfly.
We are looking forward to our Graduation Ceremony for the pre-school children on 26^th June and our party for the ante pre-school children on the afternoon of 26^th June.
